This is my personal weblog where I get to be as crabby as I want to be.


General crabbiness level: 6.5. Because of stupid software. And hey, it's related to SBC Global! I'm trying to switch ISP's (to Yahoo/SBC Global because it's cheaper. Not only does the install COMPLETELY cripple the whole point of a browser (like, if you mistype one character in a long URL, you get redirected to a stupid error page and cannot get to the URL to fix the typo but must start all over) but it won't send email via any of my domains and the error message points me to a URL that does not exist so I can't troubleshoot it. Also, now my account has been totally screwed up and I am now unable to use the service at all. So I switched everything back to the old ISP and it works perfectly (sends email, downloads email, etc) Oh, anyway, just more stupid controlling ideas from companies who don't pay attention. Are there any that do?


Yeah, I'm crabby. I'm crabby about this: I had to call the phone company to get two jacks rewired. How complicated can that be? Let's see, 8:30 to 9:37. More than an hour on the phone with SBC Global just to set up a stupid service call. That's Customer DISservice. I got disconnected once and had to start all over. Plus, and here's the REALLY stupid part. You have to call Customer Service first, and they pass you to the people who actually do the work who then pass you BACK to Customer Disservice in order to tell me that why, yes, they will come fix the phone jacks. And the lady had the nerve to ask me if I had recieved excellent CS. No. I did not. Also, in line with a previous crabby rant about technology, I upgraded my email client and now, of course, nothing works right. More customer disservice. It's not software, it's wasteware. Waste of time, waste of money. I really hate this crap.
